He claims he had vitiligo, which destroys the pigment in the skin, giving a blotchy look.
Only Michael Jackson knows for sure. I rather suspect he did have a treatment to even out his skin color.

Michael Jackson has a skin disease that causes the pigment (coloring) to fade away. He also has had several plastic surgerys so that he wouldn't look so much like his father.

he has disease called vitiligo and that is why his skin is white and it becomes whiter every year. He had a surgery on his nose and it's just removing excess skin... I think that his nose will age with the rest of his face.

He has a skin condition and if he gets too much sunlight his skin gets lighter...kind of the opposite of getting a tan I guess.
