Her father gave them back to her, state closed file and she left husband with another drug user. now kids are in same situation as 6 years ago. State won't listen. What do we do?

We already went to the da/county att. she said we had a case and that I would get my grandkids, then we got to court and she gave me back all my evidence and said sorry, that was the last time I saw my grandkids. Her new family said i was worst then a 911 terrorist for turning them in on drugs and abuse of the children.

the county att would not tell me what happened to give them back the kids, even the police chief, who was my witness didn't know what happened.

get a lawyer... call a public defender if you cant afford one, ask for the defender of the day, explain what is happening to them. then, honestly you can go after the state for not listening to you. they are susposed to react to EVERY reported case, even if they beleive it to be untrue.... my mom is a public defender, if you have any more questions, please IM or email me. i will help you. oh and also.... GO GRANDMA, if only there were more of you out there. good luck, my heart is with you.

This is a tuff one. I think it is time for a lawyer to get involve. You are a grandparent and there is a law called "Grandparent Rights" in seeing their grand children. Also, this attorney can get records of the drug problems and cps. Something need to be done before anything happens to those kids. Those kids will also need to see a counselor due to be removed from home to home. You want those kids to live in a drug free environment so action need taken now before they get hurt or worse or they will turn out like them. good luck! It is known that CPS has ignore prior cases and kids have been killed so, fight for it. It is already on record because of state being involved.

You poor thing.. keep fighting for your grandchildren, they deserve to be loved not dragged around the countryside. The danger they are being put in by their mother with drugs is unfathomable.. They are your son's children too and they are obviously being neglected. Persevere, don't lose hope, they need you.. gather any kind of useful information supporting your fears for the children's safety and make the state listen.. I wish you well..

iforget the dealing with the state. get an attorney, grandparents have legal rights for vistation.
if she is still being arrested for drugs you can go after having their parental rights revoked, it's not that hard.
please get an attorney.
my sister works for children and family here in florida and i hear these stories everyday. if you would like you can contact me and i will give you her e-mail and maybe she can point you in the right direction. god bless you, i will say a prayer for you and the kids.

Go see an attorney. Depending on your state, you may have grandparent's rights. See some of the sources below.
