depends for what right?

training with a jammer on sucks.. you should use a speedo or a dragsuit

and in competition, some suits will fit some events. Breastrokers tend to use more speedos, because jammers limit their motion.. flyers more full body suits.

I was a long distance swimmer, and I always used the jammer to race the 400 and above.. the pants for the 200 -

well to many of yall.. when you are a swimmer, well after couple of years.. wearing a speedo/jammer or body suits make no differences... the same way we shave.. because our sport requires us to do.. BUT then again.. alot of you swim in HS and think yall are badasses and yall say its gay to shave or wear a speedo..

i swam from 3 till i was 18. that was my life..
and i used to wear every type.. i had speedo's, jammers, shark skin pants, shark skin shorts with tank top shirt connected, pants with tank top, and pants with fell arms.. dependin the meet and the race i would wear different ones..

but most the times on normal meets i would wear speedos.. cuz i like it.. i dont feel emberrased in them.. my biggest meet with them was live tv help with over 600 peple and i had a black and pink #26 speedo on.. i wear 31'-32's.. im not there to win anyone, or look "good" for the girls.. im there for the sport, and for my love of it.. if any girl would say i wont date you cuz u wear a speedo, pardon the french i would say F*UCK off then.. cuz thats who i am.. i am a swimmer! i eat right, i excersice right, i dont drink, i dont stay out, i dont party hard, i watch my calories, and i dont smoke, cuz at 5am i had to be in practice..

on practice i would wear panty hoes, with a 2-3 year old jammer(one of those really loose and floppy that are see thru) then a speedo with rags tied around them from drag.. sometimes with a 6-8 size shirt with the sleeves cut out.. it has to be a small small shirt so it only puts weight and doesnt make it flop around other size it can screw your practice strokes..

but in meets i would wear pants with tank top(no sleeves), or shorts with tank top for the 200's freestyle and 200 back stroke.. the full body(full arms and pants..) on the 500' 1000' 1800' 2000'.. and on the 50's and 100's would be the pants or pants with tank top(no sleeve) which were sprints..

so its all up to you..

Jammers, if I need to choose. Most guys look pretty funky in speedo's

i'm a sprinter, and have always preferred speedos. i tried jammers for 2 meets years back in high school, and they just distracted me. for big meets i have some Fastskin II's, but i only use them a couple times a season. and amen to myownworkchief, i also swim NCAA D1, and have been frustrated by idiots being weirded out by us swimmers wearing what we have to.

jammers, speedos have more drag on them and speedos don't have enough space for me "down there", if you know what I mean.
