I have my video in .mpg format right now. I can see it in the htm document when it is on my desktop, but when I post it on the internet, I get an error message and it shuts down my browser.

MPG is the best.
It is pretty much the only one I can view on my linux computers reliably.

MOV usually fails (it's good technically and visually, but Apple does not like linux anymore than Microsoft).

I have no idea why an mpg would kill your browser. Perhaps there is something wrong with how you are embedding it in your page.

Apple MOV is the best and you need to get software that makes a MOV file, such as Pinnacle Studio.

MOV files, however, are big and require Quick Time to view.

Windows Media Files (WMF) are also good.

Real player files suck big time. Sound is horrible and the picture is occulted by baseballs.

Try to use www.photobucket.com
You can upload our video on their website for free and then they will allow you to post it anywhere else, even on your website. Easy and safe.

Good luck!
