The answers from things like this comes from modeling. I've seen one that theorizes a shutdown of the Gulf Stream cooling Europe.

I guess the real question is, do we want to take that chance?

After seeing "An inconvenient Truth", I think is a significant risk. Seems like the scientists are in agreement.
