I think it'd look gorgeous! Black women have an extremely beautiful complexion as well as pretty lips...red would make them even more irresistible!

Red lipstick can look good on anyone of any color. If you're wearing a bold, dramatic red I would suggest going very light on the eye makup and saving it for special occasions. You can wear a subtler, reddish shade every day, like a tinted gloss or stain.
Just remember, the #1 key to wearing red is to match it to the undertone of your skin...a bluish-red if you're cool and a orangish-red if you're warm. (Just because you have dark skin doesn't mean it's warm.) Nothing looks worse than red lipstick that doesn't "go" with your skin tone!

nope it sure does not and as a blaack female my self i can definitely relate. i think because of the stigmatisome that whores and ghetto people where red lipstick it makes it looks really forward or like you will do something for anyone any time. but even if the color isnt red we have to be careful what color we as black wmen where cause every color you find in the stores that look good on a lighter race doesnt flatter us. hope this was helpful and noone takes it the wrong way.

Anyone can wear red lipstick - it just depends on the shade. There are warm reds (with more goldish undertones), cool reds (with more bluish undertone), and neutral reds.
Start with a drugstore line (such as Almay) that tells you which colors are which variety, or stop at a cosmetics counter and they can help you match one that is right for your skin tone.
Start with a neutral red and go from there.

You wanted honesty so , Yes some women do know how to wear it w/ only the right lipliner and well have you tried using a lip gloss they have alot pretty ones that might fit your skin color besides the red lipstick is a little out played so try something different.........GOOD LUCK..

I don't think bright red lipstick looks good on any woman! Stick to the darker/deeper shades ladies! AND NO PINK LIP GLOSS!

It depends on the person and what shade of red they're wearing. This is true for anyone and any make-up: different colors look good on different people and you just have to experiment a bit to find what looks best on you.

Yes. You just have to to get the right shade to go with your skin tone and a good lip liner. Go to a make up counter in your local department store and they will tell you which colors would look the greatest on you. You don't need to buy it there, you can just get an idea of what shades you may need.

It depends on your complexion. I don't think a dark black person should wear bright red lipstick. It depends on your complexion and the shade of red, and what you are wearing.

I'm black and have never worn red lipstick. I have yellow undertones and I think I look crazy with red lips. I prefer a nude/natural lip on black women.
