I have a Laptop which has a Network Domain Name Setup that we keep by right clicking My Computer Properties & its connected to a network domain at my office. But when i get home i have a network connection which has Workgroup settings. Can anyone tell me if i can create a Workgroup connection in my Laptop while leaving the Domain Name that its having. Like i can have 2 ways to use my network. 1 with domain name and other with Workgroup so i can switch faster when i get to home or work..

Please give me the exactly steps !!!

They are two separate networks. One is a workgroup small home network setup, and the other one is a network setup for your office probably through your TCP protocol. You can change your workgroup name to be the same as the computer you want to connect to and it will not disrupt your other connection when you plug it in at the office.

When you are home go to My network places > View network connections and disable the the office connection
Then choose Create new connection and follow the steps there to set up your work group network. When switching to the office remeber to disable the home connection and enable the office one. It should work

When you come home, just log on locally. Then you see in the network neighborhood still the workgroup.
