If you're talking about maybe hooking up with somebody, my advice would be to pass on that. Sometimes people jump into other relationships way to soon after a breakup, either to prove to themselves that they are still attractive to others or to hurt the person that they just broke up with. Spend some time alone and sort out your feelings before you start dating again.

Why Not? It's not like you are going out for a specific reason. Grab a friend or go somewhere populated and enjoy. Life is way too short to sit home and wait; been there, done that. Remember, on your death bead I promise you won't be saying "wow, I really wish I played less." Have FUN!!!

Sure, why not go out with some friends and have a good time. Doesn't mean your looking for someone new.
If you broke up for a reason, then why wait to have fun?

Go out get your mind off the break-up! Don't stay secluded to your house, you'll just start feeling even worse, if you do not stay busy.

get together with some friends and have some fun --- or go off to the beach for the weekend ..... having someone you're able to talk to about the failed relationship is important --- even though you lived together --- your hurt is just as real as someone who was married --- deal with the issues that lead to the break up --- allow yourself to heal before getting involved with another man
