I agree with what everyone has been saying about taking your son to a sporting event of some sort within the city. I also second visiting the Field Museum and if you can get tickets, the King Tut exhibit. It might be the last time that the exhibit is available in America for a long long time, so be sure to check that out as well. http://www.kingtut.com/

Take your son to Navy Pier so that he can bike, blade, or take a boat tour of some kind. He'd probably like the Ropes Course and the Adventure Golf. If he likes marine animals, the Shedd Aquarium is fun, too. http://www.navypier.com/

The Go Chicago Card also includes a variety of attractions that a 15 year old would love to try. It's an attraction card that includes a bunch of chicago things to do for one price. It also gives him the option to try a sample platter of things in the area--tours, navy pier stuff, museums, etc. Probably a good bet since many teens can be fickle! http://www.gochicagocard.com

Depending on how much your son likes art, you could take him to the art institute of chicago which is extremely impressive even if you're not a huge fan of art.

The Leonardo Da Vinci exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry (all about his life and inventions as well as his art), the King Tut exhibit at the Field Museum, Millenium Park and free evening concerts, Wrigley Field for Cubs games, the Oak Street Beach, the Wendella boat tours on the Chicago River, Dave & Busters on Clark Street.

30 miles north is Six Flags Great America amusement park.

One thing I dont understand is that people give no detail in their questions. If you are in charge of a 15 year old and you believe that "all 15 year olds are the same" then I feel sorry for said 15 year old.

My 15 year old son enjoys,

Skating at the skateparks at 32nd street and LSD and also at Wilson/Foster beach.

He likes walking around Bucktown and Wicker Park and going to the music stores and browsing LP's and CD's.

He likes going to Chicago Music Exchange and playing the guitars their.

He likes taking the L and riding around the loop and walking along the lakeshore.

He likes hanging out at North Ave. Beach and chilling.

Good Luck

when I think of Chicago I think sports. There's the Cubs, Bears, Bulls. If you're not interested in playing sports there is always the option of being a spectator. Check your comunity and churches for youth programs. Chicago must have many. You're 15, you must have an active social life. What interests do u share with friends? Chicago is a big city, there must be plenty to do. Plenty of things to get you in trouble, & plenty of things to keep you out of trouble. Choose your friends and activities wisely.

Go to North Pier. It's an indoor shopping thing near just before you get to Navy Pier. I think they still have a laser tag thing inside.

You could go to one of the Imax movie theaters. There's one in Navy Pier and one in the Museum of Science and Industry.

Try Dave and Busters on Clark St. near Division. It's got a huge video arcade and parents can hang out at the bar.

Somebody else mentioned a baseball game. You can always do that, but try to get tickets online now.

Go hang out at the Nike store and check out the shoes and sports memorabelia. Then walk down the street to the Apple store and check out the computers and new Ipods.

There's a Seadog Powerboat docked at Navy Pier that takes passengers on a powerboat ride around Lake Michigan that's pretty cool.

Go over to Clark and Belmont and check out The Alley. It's a "punkish" store that sells clothing, shoes, etc. it's where most of the the teens go to get their punk on...

You could rent a bike and ride along the bike path near lake Michigan.

Or bring your family to hang out all afternoone at one of the beaches here. If it's a nice day, it's pretty cool. and who knows, you might meet a 15 year old GIRL...

Take a Ferris Bueller tour and visit the places he went to- especially the Sky Deck at the Sears Tower.

Have fun!
