Things like that probably get said on the pitch 20-30 times a match. Zidane just let it go to his head and picked the absolute worst time to react.

From what I understand, he used a racial slur against Zidane, and that is why the headbutt happened in the first place. FIFA is taking a super hard stance against racial slurs.
If I understand correctly, he called Zidane something like "a filthy terrorist" or something similar. Zidane, I believe, is from a Middle Eastern country.
He admits insulting Zidane, but says he didn't call him a terrorist.
