Yes, I have a friend who used animal repellers to chase dogs out of her yard. She tried the type you set up in some fashion and left out in the yard all of the time. Then she tried the ones that were hand held and you walked out in the yard and pointed it at the animal to make it work. She felt that these worked the best because the dogs immediately fled the yard. I am assuming that this type is more accurate in hitting the target. Also since you are looking to deter rabbits; try putting moth balls around the problem area. They don't like the smell. Happy hunting.

Shotgun shells fire many small projectiles at ultrasonic speeds. They repel the rabbit quite quickly, but only a few inches. After that, the rabbit becomes rabbit meat, which you can make into a wonderful stew.

Forget the ultrasonics, use a little ammonia and water sprayed around the places you want the rabbits to stay away from. This works for all small animals and rodents. Anything that smells that bad they want no part of and stay away!
