There are probably hundreds of thousands. Marble slab has about 50 and Baskin Robbins alone has over 1000. If you take into account all the major ice cream stores and manufacturers and then dont forget the store brands, there is really no easy way of know.

I did an informative speech on ice cream, so I know quite a bit about it. Plus, I just really like to eat it. There are an infinite amount of ice cream flavors. Each day companies are making new flavors. There are actually gourmet ice cream chefs who put things like spinach into ice cream and claim that it tastes good. To each his own, I suppose.

I think the answer is "endless numbers" Whatever you can put in cream and freeze is made into ice cream. I've seen asparagus Ice Cream, garlic Ice Cream, black Bean Ice cream, just to name a few of the stranger ones. They are always coming out with something new.

The possibilities are endless. You can make most anything you want into ice cream if you know how to make ice cream. I've had lavender rose, hot pepper, and passion fruit ice cream before.

There ARE an infinite amount of combos and such. there is even a parlor that once a year does a gag flavor and gives out free samples. (one year they did chili.)
