It is most probably caused by magnetic field generated too near your TV. First locate the magnetic source and remove it further away. Try switching off and on again. If the problem is still there you can use an electric demagnetizer to clear the spotted or fuzzy screen by moving it from center out in a rotational direction. If it does not solve it, it means your tube is aging, God bless you. Magnetic fields can come from mostly speakers or high voltage cables that are too near your TV set.

Maybe Your TV is close to magnet or powerful speaker. Just move them right from the TV.

if you have pic in pic that is up alot or certain stations have logo's that will burn it into your tv. So it shows black. Other than just something really going in the tv it's self.

If it's an LCD it's because some of the crystals are dead, if not it might be the tubes going.
