why dont people seem2 realize that rap and rock are brothers. ppl critsize rap more bc of its "violant" lyrics. rockers do more drugs and spaz out even more. why all the negative talk. wheres the positive feedback?

Some people do it because they don't understand rap.When some people listen to rap they just hear the bad stuff.All rap isn't bad,and all rock isn't bad.I'm a fan of all music but some people need to get a life and give some rappers a chance and stop their criticism cause they can be even worse than the person their talkin about.And if rap isn't music neither is rock because they are very similarif you look at it in the right perspective.Yo I be out ,ONE!

Dude Rock is closer related with Pop than Rap. Plus people criticize Rap nowadays, because most (not all) Rap artist play the gangsta role, when in fact, they live in rich neighborhoods and live next door to Chip...ah Chip's a good guy. But some Rappers were gang bangers back in the day, but aren't any more. But some Rappers aren't like that and are cool. Certain Rockers also are stereotypical, but less then Rap, that's why Rap is more criticized. I say... we have more bands that combine Rap and Rock together and then more people will Appreciate both genres.

ok rap mostly sang by black people and rock mostly song by white people then rap u dont c any head banging and electiric guitar and rock u do and rap just talks about sex drugs and money and rock talks about fighting and sex and money and drugs and whores and talking about missing someone and trying to get life and stuff like that but the most thing people notice is the beat rap has this kindof ladback thing and rock it has a mad sound to it

my edge for rap died when this new rap crap came around what happened to the go happy, go lucky, get high, feel good, Dont Cause No Trouble days of snoop dogg and master P and Dre??? I hate what rap has become. Rock will always be on top.

rap really doesn't require a lot of musical talent almost anyone can rap but only a few can actually rap worth a damn and here's the main difference rock you have to actually play an instrument or sing
rock: more atheist/anti-christ
rap: bible thumbers who love god
rock: drug of choice heroine
rap: drug of choice marijuana
rock:several different generes
rap: just two or three
but they do have several things in common both love white wemon advocate violence sell their soul to Satan and make the FCC and other nazi corporations pissed

Until you've learned to play the guitar (or bass) and write your own music and lyrics, then I wouldn't criticize rock.
