You can only recieve the back child support that he owes from before his righta were terminated. Once that is paid off you don't get any more. And, don't do that, the child deserves to be financially supported at least.

You can receive the support he owed before. My niece's ex asked to give up his parental rights to my great-nephew, because that meant he wouldn't have to pay child support anymore. Luckily, she'd just remarried, and her new husband was crazy about her son. They agreed, since it also meant Rick could adopt him. So we didn't go much into the issue, since everybody agreed to it, especially the son.

depends on if he is behind and in the state of arkansas unless the children are adopted by someone else he is still responsible to pay child support i do not know about other states...
