If you mean "will they miss the playoffs?" I would have to say yes. If you mean fall on their face and lose so many games that only the Royals are worse in their division, I'd have to say no way... They're good enough to stay afloat for most of the year, but I think the White Sox will pass them sometime in the next few weeks, and then they'll have to battle it out with a bunch of other teams for the wild card, and I really just don't see how they make it over the Red Sox or Yankees...

Another one of these questions, and Georgie Porgie hasn't weighed in yet...
Just keep thinking that while the Tigers go to the World Series. Leyland is a good manager. The pitching staff is doing well, and with five-man rotations these days they are not going to get worn out. What I have seen of their hitting shows that it is dangerous, too.
If the Tigers are to be passed by the White Sox or beaten in the playoffs, they will have to be outplayed. It is theroretically possible that they will crash and burn - I've seen it happen before - but I think it is unlikely.

I would like to say yes, but I don't think that's going to happen, they are playing some of the best baseball right now, The Tigers and The Mets look like the two strongest teams "right now" in MLB.
I think the Tigers will win the Central... but only by a couple games.

Shockingly I dont think so, they are off to such a huge start, league parody shows everybody beats up on everybody.
Other than Detroit, Chicago, Boston, New York and Toronto, no other team will come close. Their confidence is high and at worst they will finish with the wildcard.

I don't think they are going away. The biggest worry is how they will handle the pressure of a pennant race as we get into August and September. That is why it is a huge asset having an experienced manager like Jim Leyland in the dugout.

Nope, Leland will handle that. Looks like they are the real deal and this is their year. The White Sox (or the twins) don't have enough.

I don't think they will. Their pitching is too strong for them to crash. Plus, their manager isn't the type to let it happen.
