Salamanders need pretty shallow water unless they are Sirens(gilled). Normally a salamander tank has water about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way up. You can provide them with drift wood, plastic islands or a turtle shelf to get out of the water.

Different salamanders live in different conditions- some like moving water others prefer stagnent water. Some like very cool temp. others like warmer water.

For the most part, tropical fish will eventually be eaten by a salamander- it may take a while but in the end they are food.

A 10 gallon tank is too small to house any of the siren species- they can live in much deeper water but they get to be huge.

You have to choose what type of tank you want, an aqua-terrarium or an aquatic tank. It is too small to do both.

None of them, unless you have a coldwater tank with large fish or something. Most salamanders are too big and will eat your tropical fish. There are some thing like fire-bellied newts that are small, but they like different conditions than fish and need a place to climb out of the water.
