my bf has already spoken to her once at best buy but felt uncomfortable about it. he'd rather just go in and shop and not have to deal with her but he's afraid she'll want to talk to him (and he doesn't want to be friends with her). since he can't figure it out he's taken all that stress and everything out on me. i've suggested that he maybe write her an email or a letter, that way he doesn't have to directly talk to her. any suggestions are appreicated.

The girl at the store does not work there all the time. Does she? Just saying a few polite words does not mean you are friends with her. A small talk never hurts. Or your boyfriend can look for another Best Buy or a store similar to it.

Complain to Best Buys manager saying she is harassing him.

Shop at Best Buys website instead.

Get someone else to go into the store for him.

He may just want to go to another best buy to shop, its probably the easiest thing to do, without any confrontation between your BF and his ex.

Just tell her that he doesn't feel comfortable talking with her, that he's moved on with someone else.
