no actually hiccups are a GOOD thing. It shows the baby is healthy and prgressing well. It makes no sense but it is a medical way of knowing the baby is going well. So when the baby is born and hiccuping you will know he or she is growing...
congrats

It's normal, and you can't stop it (although if you find that it's something specific you're eating, you can always cut that out of your diet).
Hiccups are just the baby's way of letting you know that it's okay. They're nothing to worry about.
I'm going to be a new mom soon, too, and I can't wait. Good luck with the little person!

Both of mine got hiccups all the time. My first hated it too! He would be all still and then he'd hiccup and start kicking around for a few seconds and then he'd be still and hiccup and start kicking and he'd keep it up the whole time! It was pretty funny.

There is nothing you can do, they don't last long and don't hurt the baby.
