they get rid of old dated furniture in comes the new kitchen , bathroom, doors , they then say , well we had the money , but dont like the hassle , why dont they , just say , the money came in handy to do all this updating .

There are a lot of problems and inconveniences that will go away if you throw some money their way.
When people who have not had much money find this out, it changes them. Their tolerance for having to put up with things decreases. It is not a planned thing, it is just a discovery of an easier life.

You sound a little disgruntle, why? If that's what they want to say happened what is it that is bothering you? At least they used the money wisely and not on drugs, or threw it away on gambling. You should be asking your self are you jealous or envious, and why. Try to find out why you are so bothered by this. Should they have given you some money?

every one to their own but I do not think changing verniture or a kitchen is changing a person. I put in central heating is that wrong.

If you have the money, why not treat yourself to nice things, that doesn't necessarily mean that the people have changed
