I have a 97 chevy silverado and it wont start. I know it has something to do with the fuel system, but i cant figure out waht. I hear the fuel pump workin when it turns over. It starts for a second when i put gas in the throttle but then it bogs down. This problem just appeared over night, one day it worked, next day it didnt. I replaced the fuel filter, i dont know what it could be

It could be your fuel pump regulator

Just because you can hear the fuel pump doesn't always mean it is still working. Some part of it could have broken off so the motor spins, but nothing else happens. That's unlikely though. It sounds to me like you have water in your gas tank. It's possible that someone may have played a trick on you. You may have to drain your gas tank and refill with fresh gas. Hopefully not, since that could be over $50 worth of gas wasted, but it's a strong possibility.
