Death is scary to anyone, even the murderers. Once someone has died there is no possibility for return. In prison though they can live their lives and hope for a parole or some new evidence to release them. Some rare cases have happened where an innocent person is jailed and given the choice of life in prison of the death penalty. As for me, if i knew i were innocent i would not send myself to death.

The fact of the matter is, in our North American liberal feel-good society, a 'life sentence' VERY seldom means the rest of your life in prison.
You get time off for good behaviour expressing remorse, sucking up to the warden, appeals are always possible, changes of laws, new facts can come to light that might get you out, such as DNA evidence in a murder case, etc. etc.---but bottom line, a 'life sentence' can be as short as 10 years, whereas DEATH is permanent without any further hope, no options, period.

Many are in penitentiary, many are loose nevertheless because the sufferer is afraid or ashamed. though there is the computing device result to all of it, those "human beings" must have continued trauma of their very own existence to steer them to act so horribly. I do agree that that is between the most terrible crimes someone can dedicate and the punishment like one of those number of others does no fit the crime. we are getting a society that believes anybody benefits a 2d, third, 4th..etc... threat and there is solid in anybody. by using this one of those number of those who should be in penitentiary stroll freely. human beings the following do not care about all people or something until eventually it consequences them promptly. this is all about me and no man or woman cares what is going on outdoors of their little bubble.

Whenever your mortality faces you, you will probably have a change of mind. They are not right with God and are afraid of the alternative. In their mind living with the known is better than facing the unknown. Stay out of trouble and you will never have to face this problem.

If you committed a crime serious enough to be considered for the death penalty, and assuming you believe in the after life, wouldn't you want to prolong dying???

Possibility of parole, and when you're faced with life or death, regardless of where you spend it, most people will pick life.
