go chargers. LT, gates and Merriman are carrying them to the super bowl for sure. What the hell is everybody talikg about chargers have no D??? best rushing defense in the league last year and toughest in the AFC west overall.

I think the Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins in the AFC and the Dallas Cowboys and the thwarted Seattle Seahawks in the NFC look far scarier than San Diego to me (I'm a Steeler fan, BTW).
Your boys might have fared better had they retained Drew Brees, but there's no way they take it all this year under Philip Rivers.

There are no concessions here regarding San Diego reaching the Super Bowl this season. In fact, with Rivers under center, there is more speculation about them not faring so well with an unproven QB.

Chargers? With Rivers at QB? You'll be very disappointed if you putting SB hopes on that one. San Diego will fight for 3rd in the AFC West with Oakland.

I dont think they have a chance. Phillip Rivers has very little experience and who knows what you can expect out of him. They also don thave any legitimate receivers, Gates is a tight end. Theyre also a little thin on defense.

It's a nice thought but then reality sets in, no QB and no D. By the time SD is ready LT will be too old.

the chargers won't do so great with out brees i think they will go 8-8.
