What did you think about Zidane's headbutt?

After all the magic that Zidane brought to his team during this world cup run, in the end all of his accomplishments will be defined by that one moment in time. What a total waste, so much effort, so much sacrifice to get to that point in time and in a fraction of a second it's all over by a momentary flash of rage. True champions are defined in those moments, Zidane 's action disqualifies him entirely from being on that category. I don't justify the actions of the italian player, the guy will be judged accordingly, but the moment should have been greater than a headbutt and Zidane needed to be the great player that he was at that moment. Zidane's inability to control himself was a dissapointment to himself, to his teammates and to his fans.

It is really ashame that he had to go out that way. He needed to hold it together for 10 more minutes and then he'd be remembered as one of the all time greats. Now whenever people talk about Zidane they'll mention the headbutt.

I wish it hadn't happened. But it reminds you that sports stars are human with all that that includes, good and bad.
