Hahaha!!! I like it!!

Unfortunately it IS partially true ... although a lot of the people here go out of their way to help with 'genuine seeming' questions, there are plenty of others who THINK they know what they're talking about, but DON'T!! Then there are the ones who give an often insulting answer for the 2 points - or sometimes they just say idk, and of course you mustn't forget the nasty ones, plus I've seen people give deliberately wrong answers, and sometimes they even get the best answer because they manage to convince the poor old asker that it's the truth!!

You've got to laugh sometimes, it's SO ridiculous! I'd recommend double-checking the things people say, for example, if you ask for a translation, copy their reply into an online translation engine just to see if it bears ANY relation to what you actually wanted! (Online translations are normally pretty useless, but if you want to know how to say 'what time is it?' and the reply says 'I don't know my ar$e from my elbow!' then you KNOW it's not genuine!
; )

There's a real cross-section of people on here. Use your judgement. You're only in the wrong place in the sense that the world at large (i.e. Joe Average) is the wrong place to seek educated answers.

If you want humour, tho', have a look at z☺☺mjet►►►'s Q&A.

You'll find people here far better educated than you and those who have had very little. Have a look at some of the answers to mathematical questions or to Stephen Hawking's much publicised one about the future of this planet..

Haven't you noticed how dumb everyone is here? I mean, not hip dumb or acting crazy dumb, but intellectually stunted dumb. Most can't spell or cast a sentence correctly; hardly anyone knows how to use punctuation; and to top it all, ignorance is paraded as a virtue and acclamation from one's peers is sought only in the furtherance of affectation or self-ridicule. The most damning evidence for the mediocrity of Yahoo Answers is the lack of humour and wit. If you find any, cherish it. Rara avis.

we are just your average folks. Some smart some dumb, some nice some mean, some sane some crazy. That is the way of the world and to be expected. From my experience most people in the world are not the brightest, but mostly just dumb as#$%#%es.

Partly true... it's luck who answers your questions. It's the right place if you want a laymans answer. Anything specialised, ask the experts.
