I have a deskjet 697C and I just change the ink and now the catrige is stuck in the middle... can anyone help

I have a deskjet 697C and I just change the ink and now the catrige is stuck in the middle even when I close the lid and it stays in the middle even though I've unpluged it ang pluged it back in

now it just stay on the other side... it won't print

I would suggest that you should contact the person from whom you took the printer and ensure that all your printer's cables are connected to it ,if it is connected and still not working you should re-install your printer from the CD which you got it along with it. Ihope that your printer will start working soon...........

Do this:
- Detach all cables (power & data)
- Open the lid.
- Remove the cartridge.
- Hold printer upside down.
- Shake shake a little to drop any materials stuck inside the compartment.
- Try to put it on again.

Are you talking about the device that the cartridge resides on?
Try unplugging the printer then plugging it back in this will reset some of the hardware defaults.

close the cover of your printer the deskjets move their cartridge to the middle everytime you open the cover so that if you'll change cartridge it's wasy to access

close the lid and it should move over it moves to the center anytime you have the lid open to allow easy acess to the cartridge

You've probably fitted it wrongly.

Please remove the cartridge and reinsert it properly.

Then close the lid.

This time it should work.
