At least in my family, we have drank sprite or 7up if one of us has been throwing up, because it make the stomach less, erm, nauseous and wacky. Why is this?

Because it's doesn't have the caramel coloring in it that could lead to more nausea. The thing you want to do with someone who had nausea, vomiting, and especially diarrhea, is to keep them hydrated. It's so very easy for someone to dehydrate being sick like that, especially young children and elderly people. Best of luck to you.

Small, frequent meals, every two hours (even through the night, if you can do that) Dry crackers before arising; graham crackers are nice Eat a high-carbohydrate diet: dry toast, honey, banana, baked potato, muesli and other whole-grain breakfast cereals, steamed rice, tofu Sweet juices or flat soda in the morning Avoid strong smells, fatty foods and spicy foods; some women cannot tolerate milk, eggs or meat There is anecdotal evidence of acupressure to the wrists helping nausea Vitamin B6, 50 milligrams by mouth twice a day Do not use alcohol or tobacco, and limit coffee during the first trimester Peppermint tea Ginger tea; boil ginger root in water and strain, serve with honey Candied ginger may also help Lots of love and support and less stress!

I'm the throw up king. I get so sick, so long, I wind up in the hospital. I see a boat on the ocean and get sea sick.

I've tried everything but sprite. I would drink jumping jacks if I knew it would help.

Once a nurse recommended crushed ice for my toddler and it worked. Another time I tried it and for the kids and it doesn't help at all.

People throw up for different reasons. Excessive drinking, food poison, motion sickness. I have to stop now. I'm getting dizzy thinking about it.

we use warm coke but peppermint is a natural remedy to calm nausea
Peppermint is known as a "carminitive", which means that it aids digestions. Peppermint reduces gas, bloating, and abdominal cramping, and also increases bile flow from the gallbladder. Enteric-coated peppermint oil has shown benefit for people with irritable bowel syndrome in research studies

The bubble make your lil tummy feel better. My personal preference is GingerAle. Coke is good for that too but make sure you are fully over the throwing up part because you don't want Coke coming back up!!

the acids in the citrus, plus the carbonation, settle the stomach for a while, and fill it with gas, so that it feels full.

I was always given ginger ale as a kid to settle a stomach.
