It could be, but obviously nobody knows, because, even if we could had a telescope strong enough to resolve the light of distant galaxies into clear images, any wars going on would have taken place in the distant past when the light from the galaxies began journeys of thousands of years to the earth. If life in this huge universe is as abundant as I suspect, and competing for resources and recognition as human life does, I have no doubt that there are wars of some kind, even if among different "ant beds".
