Our 5th anniversary is coming up in Sept. this year...I've been wanting a new wedding band set since I got the one I'm wearing...it's nice but very cheap and it is very bent up and not looking so great. When my husband gave it to me I kinda wished he would have gotten something "more ME". (for example it's yellow gold, which I HATE, wanted white gold) Especially since I am wearing it forever...I am not a big jewelry person and I don't want to sound unappreciative...but I want something nicer period.
Well he owes $300 on it still, we didn't go too high but it was $400 for the set. It's a white gold band with one good sized princess cut diamond, and the band is white gold with diamonds across the top.
So now we can get it OR I can get a tattoo with that kinda money...in which I've been dying to get a new tattoo.
Which would you choose?
New tattoo? New wedding band set?
Thank YOU!!!

I already have tattoos...so that isn't really an issue...I don't believe that getting new ones will hurt our relationship...I wish I did like the rings because he gave them to me...but I don't! Mean but honest...
I do absolutely love the idea of tattoo rings...
I'm wanting to get several tats but the next one I get I want to get two zombie mermaids on my chest/not boobs...or a zombie fairy/doll on my back...

I'd go for the wedding band set. Honestly the rings will mean a lot more then the tattoo. Keep saving for the tattoo of course, but the rings will be a lot more visible and you won't have to lift your shirt to show your anniversary gift off. (Kidding)

Hmmm dilemma Well I myself would choose whatever is going to make me the happiest. whichever you choose , you will probably regret it later on and wished you had gotten the other. So I would think of it like this ... you would enjoy both but which one is going to complete you. I would imagine that the set would , just by your question and comments. The tatto you could alsways get later on and they typically are not near as much as a tattoo. So would be easy enough to save up for one or get one on another occassion. There as the wedding set would be a long time away more than likely. You are going to enjoy either and you'll regret getting what you get just because you will have it then and no longer have that want as you will still want the other so choose wisely. But I would go for the wedding set. Like I said it would be easy enough to save up for a tattoo , unless your getting something huge and extravigant. Good luck in your choice .....Think long and hard.......

Well, I think you already answered the question for yourself, but still unsure about your own decision. First you are complaining about your rings and all of the sudden, you thought "hey, tattoo!"
My question if you were to get a tattoo, would you regret not spending the money on the rings? Or If you got the rings, would you regret not spending money on the tattoos? What is the first response that pops into your head? Only you can answer this question for YOURSELF.

Hm. That's a toughy. Since you don't like yellow gold and it's bent, I would go for the new wedding set.
Or if you are like me and want to wear what he picked out forever, go for the tattoo.

what if something happens in the relationship where you separate or even get divorced?? A tattoo is pretty permanent, and getting it removed is costly.
Stick with physical bands
