"Nu Metal" is music that tends to favor heavily distorted, drop-tuned guitars with simple, repetitive riffs and usually no solo. The biggest forces in the early "Nu Metal" wave were Korn. Followers include Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, Three Days Grace, and every other band that sounds just like them. Often classified as "Modern Rock".

It is the new metal music of today with a new vibe and amped up sound. ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!
