I know it depends and varies...but does FAFSA ever pay the full tuition for a University, or do they only take care of a small portion of it? I get the max. financial aid at my City College right now, but I am just trying to get an idea of how much of the tuition it will cover when I transfer to a University. What is the maximum amount they will cover?

first of all FAFSA doesn't pay anything, it's just a form...the info u put on the form determines how much aid u receive from different areas. it is possible to receive enough aid to cover a full tuition especially if you are a california resident, but keep in mind, it could be all subsidized and unsubsidized loans (i went to Cal State Northridge and I had all loans). you may want to apply for a few scholarships just in case and be sure to apply for grants early.

Ask the Financial Aid Office at your school. Asking us, the people of Yahoo wont do you much good! Good Luck!

Sorry the UC system doesnt cover everything.\
Most likely you'll depend heavily on loans.

this might cover half but that includes loans and workstudy.
