Growing up my parents worked all over the state of Alaska, in that time we lived in Barrow for a few years. Barrow Alaska is right on the the Bearing Sea, we lived in an A-frame across the dirt road from the water. My bedroom window faced the sea, my bed was right up against that window so that I could look out at the water whenever I wished.
One night there was a massive storm. The sea water rose up, took out the road, washed into our yard and carried off our porch. I remember lying in bed watching the water wash against my bedroom window before my parents came to move me out of that part of the house.
Before then I don't remember being afraid of anything really. I won't ever live or even spend the night right on the water. I like the idea of having to get into my car to drive to the ocean, and as much as I like to deep sea fish I'm a bit wary every time I step onto a boat.
I am a woman, and have a healthy fear and respect for large bodies of water that can move towards land on their own.

i am a women but that not my title just gender LOL~ and i honestly can say i think life it self i mean i had more plans on what i didn't want to do when i grew than what i wanted to do when i grew up and that can cause a lot of friction in life. I am a little better at now but i still have more what i don't than what i do but i now know how to make that work for me than against me.

Man- of heights but I have good reason… my step brothers thought it was fun to throw me out of a second story window into a big bush. Of course the evil step mother knew and didn’t do anything to stop them.

But my brother:

We teased him constantly about that.

Woman. When I was growing up, I had this fear of one of my parents dying. I had a friend whose mother was killed in an auto accident. After that, I tended to worry about my parents. It was my first realization that your parents die.
