Anyone who plays sims 2?

Ok. I need to download some clothes for the sims2 nightlife. But everytime i try to download it
It say "Please double-click a custom content package to install." What does that mean and how do you get one?

Sims 2 downloads can come in zip files, rar files, or sims2pack files. If the downloaded file is a zip or rar file, you need to unzip it to your downloads folder (C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\EA Games\The sims 2\Downloads). If the file is a sims2pack, it is blue icon and says sims2 installable package. Just double click on that and it will install itself into the right directory (and this is the message you have been getting). You will need a different unzipping program for rars than for zips. There are a lot of programs out there that will unzip both types of files. I personally like TugZip (it's free) because it will do both types of files and you can multiextract your downloads into the sims2 downloads folder.

uum I'm not entirely sure what you are talking about but here is how I get custom clothes for my sim games

go to www.modthesims2.com or whatever website you want to use

download the mesh into your "downloads" folder

download the recoulors into "downloads"

go into your downloads folder and unzip the files (you do this by opening the zipped folder, highlighting everything in it, and then on the side it will say 'move' and move it to downloads and it will be unzipped)

If this didn't make sense to you, go to www.modthesims2.com and read their tutorials...they have step by steps and pictures...and a chatroom if you still don't get it.

After you press download then press save and not open and put it under EA Games/Sims2/Downloads.
