Uhm, i'm not sure why it's important to you but I'll give you a few hints on why it should be important to you.

1. You can get a good job with high pay.
2. It'll give you the ability to be independent.
3. It'll give you the self confidence of being able to take care of yourself and being able to have your own money.
4. The ladies/guys will love you for it. Smart people are always interesting.
5. You can travel the world!
6. You don't have to rely on your parents money anymore.
7. Once you're independent you can basically do anything you want to do.

Now wouldn't it be nice to have a degree from a good university? ;)

it rounds out your life experience, by exposing you to new people and new ideas.

it gets you around lots of people your own age so you can see what people of all kinds are like

you get to specialize in one area, so that you are better trained for whatever career you choose....and there are so many more available with a college degree than without one.

you get to have fun while you do all that work....i know everyone says it, but it really is not at all like highschool...much much better

finally, that degree, that little piece of paper makes your earning potential go through the roof.

say right now, you can get a good job at a nearby factory that starts at $18 an hour? pretty good huh? yeah it is, with no family and no school loans, and rent instead of a house payment you can live on that. what you need to look at is the guy who's been working there for 20 years, who is only making $28 an hour. Not so good now...cause now its taking you 20 years to get to your top earning potential and thats still only 10 more dollars an hour. now you have a wife and kids to support and a house payment and all the maintenance on the house (that the owner of the apt took care of before) and you'll have to have a better car than you did in highschool, cause now its not just your safety, but that of your wife and children.

with a college education, you'll start out at a lower pay, maybe $20 an hour, but you'll move up faster, and there will be further to go, than in any non college job.

if you're having trouble figuring the money thing out, there are many places that will help you pay for college while you work for them...some banks do this, and i know UPS does, so i bet FED EX does too....

It is becoming easier and easier to attain a college degree, therefore the requirement of a degree is at a high as well, so companies and institutions are requireing a degree. For me, I have an excellent job and many oppurtunities because of my degree that others who only graduated high school do not have. Life, financially, is simply easier with a college degree.

Some people are just not cut out, to go to college. I know many people who did not go to college, and are doing quite well. Let's see now~You need someone to build your house for you, you need someone to put the plumbing in, and of course you need someone to put that new kitchen in for you. I mean, come on, there are so many professions that you can do, and make big money, where you do not need a college degree. You need someone to fix your car for you, I think you get my point. If everyone went to college, who would do all the other jobs. Electricans, can make 75K, easy, so can a plumber, carpenter.etc. etc. So I don't think everyone needs to go to college!!

because you can't get very far in life without one....unless you are extremely lucky or talented, but there aren't any guarantees. you always have your education though.
