Look, I'm Italian and I never insulted France or the French. I even asked why some people on Yahoo Answers hated them, since they were calling them "frogs" or claiming they all were fascists/racists who voted for LePen. I have been to France several times and I love the country, I admire its culture, and I even have some friends who are French.
What I really find disgusting now is the way the French or the people who were rooting for France in the World Cup are bashing Italy and its people because of "what Materazzi said to Zidane". The most probable version is that he said something about his sister that Zizou took a little too personally. In Italian, there's a lot of insults involving your sister or mother, just like "son of a b****" or "motherfu****" in English. Trash talk is part of the game. If it was true that he called him "a dirty terrorist" (which he denied) I wouldn't have a problem to admit he's an idiot. But Materazzi is no spokesman for a whole nation, so, whatever he may have said, they should just stop trashing the Italian people.

are you here to insult people you should be ashamed of your self it's just now that i believe that the italian man are like materrazi not all but you and your friend if you lose you wouldn't be here insulting people because the italalian teame was luky in the pinalty kicke would you be happy if they did insult you the inswer is NO NO but the france people are polite more than you and materzzi and if they say anythink they have the right to do and i m so happy because ZIDANE was a man and give materzzi that kick and he won the golden ball so you are only a stupid person and this is not you place. i m not saying that to all italiane poeple i nm tlking only to impolite ones

No man. France played good but everybody is making up stories about what Materazzi said especially BBC. He said your mom is hot, after Zidanes continuous insults. They got a bull **** PK, the cross bar protected them, but in the end god gave the trophy to the team that deserved. Refs help PK could not save them. Game is over. Italy won. No reason for other antics.

I have nothing against French or France but I can not stand sore losers that insult others which is ok but don't like to be insulted themselves. Face it France lost and to say France beat Brazil means NOTHING. Brazil is an amazing team but they did not play as a team and they didn't play with heart. Any half a$$ed team could of beaten Brazi this year. Did you watch any of brazil games? Pathetic soccer
