sometimes i think a look works better than words. think JAck Nickolson. raised eyebrow, deadly serious eyes. a slight smirk, just to let them know they've crossed too far. but you've got to feel it. if you're faking it doesn't come across.

Don't know if insults will work- If everyone else is laughing at it, don't. If it hurt, say so. "That was pretty ugly." Then walk away.
Sounds like your friends are a little insensitive- They're cracking jokes, not realizing that what they say is hurting.
I have a sister-in-law who tends to do this... She's always saying things that are immature, rude, mocking, sometimes even dishonest, just for the reaction. I've decided to just not take what she says seriously. I avoid her when I can, but when I have to be around her (family events, etc), I'll take my stand opposite her, on the side of kindness and honesty.
One time she started in on me, and I let my mouth get the better of me- I called her a b**** under my breath.
A couple weekends ago, we had a family reunion. This sister-in-law (call her Jan) was saying things to another sister-in-law (call her Hannah), making fun of her, mocking her. I'm not supre-fond of either of these women, but I felt bad for Hannah- she isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, and Jan was being mean. I told Jan that she was being mean, and told Hannah the more accurate version of what Jan had been saying...
I'd suggest that you give them the cold shoulder, in effect you are insulting them- "You're not even worth talking to, it's not worth my time to tell you that you're pissing me off and maintain a friendship with you...." in not so many words.

It would depend on what they said. I don't think I would use insults. Just tell them you aren't happy with what was said and explain why, then let them apologize. If they don't feel they did anything wrong or are even nastier afterwords, they are not your friends. It is too hard to come up with a jab when I don't know what they did to piss you off. In addition, if you keep bringing it up in an indirect manner, you will only piss them off but they won't know why. If they really are your friends, they are probably not aware they did anything to upset you and you will only make things worse by this round about method. Be direct and see what happens. Good luck!!

Killing them kindness would work. Or just telling them how you feel. Insulting them would only cause more to go down and these are your friends. If you can't talk to them about this stuff then you guys really aren't that great of friends.
But here's a funny one:
Your mama is so fat that I saw her walking down the street with a pig in her arms and I asked "Where'd you get that at?"
The pig replies, "I won her at a fair." Lol I like that one.

You seem to be plauged by rhetorical stupidity.
You don't favor too many humans.
Calling you an idiot would be an insult to stupid people.
You should've learned something from your parents mistakes, try using birth control.
I know everyone tells you to be yourself, but they apparently don't know you too well.
You are wlaking proof that God has a sense of humor.
A good F. U. always seems to work well also!

A '9': When they are looking really well and healthy - ask if they are ill, and what is wrong, is someone else ill in their family.
A '6': Quietly, alone, tell them they have bad body odour.
A '5': When somewhere that there are no mirrors around, show them a part of your own face and tell them they have a large stain on the same part of their face......

Tell them something that is comical, true and that will make them think . Something that will be true and helpful, then when they reflect on it ,they will say : " You know what , my friend was giving me a very big clue." For example,: Scrutinise the word DOM , meaning DUMB, intended, then read the book of Ezekiel, from the BIBLE and scrutinise the words : THE DOME CREATURES.

Don't try to be an insulter. I know guys who always try to insult, but they are not like that. it doesn't work, it backfires, and they always get made fun of.

don't resort to insults, tell them honestly that they pis.sed you off...they may not even realize what they are saying/doing hurts you....other than that you might have to find new friends who appreciate you.
