I would be sad and surprized.
George will raise hell if they don't make the playoffs.
But it's not going to happen. They'll pass the red sox and the tigers will come back to earth.

Honestly, the odds are aganist the Yankees. The Red Soxs have a 3 game lead over them, and they just keep winning. The White Soxs and the Tigers are taking the Central Division and the Wild Card spots. So that means either the Yankees work their butts off trying to catch the Red Soxs or go home crying while having to watch the Mets in the playoffs.

First I would drop my jaw. But not in shock, more like a happy jaw drop when you see a big juicy steak.... Then I'd throw a party, where we'd have a conga line, and a cake that said thank you yankees, and a bid banner on the wall that "You Suck" and a little banner under the big one that says "Thank You", and I would invite the entire Yankee team and the entire red sox pull pen and we would have a dunking booth...... Good times. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they lost, because the Red Sox are a cinch for the AL east, and the White Sox have my vote for wild card, so what does that leave the Yankees? A longer off season

First of all screw you Red Sox. Anyway the Yankees not making the postseason is the end of the world. I want a Whitesox collapse so the Yankees and Red Sox can play in the first round (where of course the Yankees will win the series).

I would run around in the streets naked and laughing, slapping Yankees fans in the face with my Big Unit.
It makes me smile just thinking of this wonderful day.
Zac Y is clearly a stupid Yankees fan because the Red Sox and the Yankees can not play in the first round of the playoffs, because they are in the same division.

That would really suck. But it's not gonna happen. They're going to chase down the Red Sox. Then the Red Sox aren't going to make the Play Offs. Now then I'd be laughing my head off.

I would react with glee, only to be surpassed if the Red Sux didn't make it either.
One would have to cast an eye towards Bristol, CT in that case to see if ESPN would implode without another Red Sux-Spankme homosexual B&D/S&M lovefest to fill their airtime up.
