I have had Verizon for a few years and my reception is really bad. My plan is up in November so we are going to swich to Cingular. But a lot of people still say that Verizon has the better service. Am I going to be making a mistake if I swich? Is Cingular the company to go with? What are some other good companies?

My family and I are using a family plan and want to continue.

Verizon is only good for certain areas. If you are getting bad service from Verizon, now it's the time to switch. I have been using Cingular for over 3 years and i'm loving it. go with either sprint or cingular. I've had service from all the carriers and these two offered the least amount of troubles. tmobiles coverage was horrid and FU*CK verizon with a rusty metal spike. hated verizon. sprint offers the best plans either family or individual. cingular with their rollover is a nice feature as well. sprint however, has their nights/weekends starting at 7pm whereas everyone else starts at 9pm. really nice little feature.

I have Cingular. I have been to Ga., Fla., Ala., and called home even around water and trees and have not have any problems.
Sometimes it is the phone. The better the phone, the better the reception.

I had Sprint. Sprint is a tool of Communism..

I have Verizon for years and have had no problem with service of recption. It may all have to do with where you use your phone. I know we live out in the country and sometimes we have back reception until we get closer to town.

with cingular you get nationwide coverege, Verizon does not cover all 50 states.

depends where u live, i would love to get cingular but it doesnt allow me to have it where i live and neither does verizon... so im stuck with alltell, do not get alltell lol

Well wireless service is different in areas.Cingular could have better coverage in ur area then Verizon.

I have Nextel and the service (in my area) is great.Why not look into getting them. (They have family plans)

I have Verizon and love it. I haven't had any trouble. I'd talk to them. Good luck.
