how I should react when putting a name that I dont like?

Well, I work in a place with people who like to putting names to their companions in order to laugh at them

I had a supervisor who used to call me Mary and I was offended by this because my name is Marianne. You know what I did? I did not react at all when she called for Mary, because I was Marianne. She did that a few times and I told her not to call me Mary if she wanted me to come because that was not my name. It worked. Maybe doing the same will work for you---you have a right to be treated with respect and to be called by your name, not only at work, but also at home, in school, EVERYWHERE. Good Luck

Toughen up a little if it's all in good fun. Also give it right back to them. The only people I have ever met that complain about this sort of things were sissies that have no wit of their own
