A compilation of the previous posts plus a few lines by me. My part starts with the mansion dropped and ends at over his head.
Maybe the next person can add a few more that make sense and keep the story going.

The mansion had an eerie quality about it. As Johnny drew closer, he began to see strange things.

He saw what appeared to be a bright flower growing alone in the middle of an obviously neglected and overgrown garden.

No more drugs for me, Johnny said to himself as the mansion slowly lifted up and floated away.

As Johnny approached his skin tingled and he could make little sense of what he saw.

The mansion dropped back onto its foundation with a thud.

In the window a figure bathed in white light drifted past then slipped back into the shadows before Johnny could be sure it was ever there.

He reached out to turn the door handle and the porch light shattered over his head.

"I shouldn't be here," Johnny said aloud, trying not to shiver against the repressive, ominous silence all around him. His family would start looking for him soon. He had just had yet another argument with his parents. It had been over something stupid, and he had stomped away from the house.

Now, Johnny looked up at the strange mansion before him. He hadn't known this thing was so close to his own house. Suddenly the sound of wailing rent the air, and Johnny spun about, terrified. "Who's there?!" he cried.

No more drugs for me, Johnny said to himself as the mansion slowly lifted up and floated away. Johnny shook his head a few times to clear his mind and then went back into the hospital and continued where he had left off carrying out the brain transplant operation. Nice to see you've come back, Doctor, said nurse Nancy with a bit of a wink.

Post by sp_isme cont'd:

But all he heard was silence. He stood still for a moment and heard a sniffling sound.

He crept into the line of trees directly in front of him. It seemed unnaturally dark. Johnny squinted hard and thought he spotted a bit of white. He walked toward it. A girl was lying on the ground. He stepped towards her.

The girl gasped and crept deeper in the shadows.

Johnny heard a timid voice whisper, "Who are you? Did they send you to come find me?"

It was a dark and stormy night, of course...but how about:
The mansion loomed eerily. As Johnny approached his skin tingled and he could make little sense of what he saw.

I'm really not sure what you want here. Do you want somebody to add to what you've started? Is this "name where that line came from"?
