if you view those scenes closely, materrazi's hand did linger on that spot, curiously. i've seen other matches in which players assumed defensive positions but never like that. they usually put one arm around the other player presumably to hold them in position but it's usually across the chest, around the waist area, even around the neck but no "lingering', for want of a better term, was usually involved. but that scene with zidane and matterazi was slightly different, wasn't it? it look like he was doing something other than defending. but i don't think materazzi is gay. maybe he was just provoking zidane. he did look like he didn't like what it was that materrazi was doing : )

Yes he must be...goodness knows what goes on in the Italian dressingroom with Materazzi around...hopefully he behaves in the showers...unlikely though!

Zidane is lucky he did not have another part of his anatomy squeezed,its quite normal for footballers to try and wind up their opponents.Anyway good on him for smacking him, the Italian deserved it!
