Could dragons in fact be aliens from another world?

Question

If dragons were aliens... think about it...

Their spaceship might emit a large amount of heat from its exhaust and that might cause some burning of stuff.

Since their spaceships fly, and are probably bigger than a house, people on Earth would look at it as a monster.

Fossils of dinosaurs might be evidence of one of these space-ship "monsters", only dead.

Now just imagine if one of these spaceships landed somewhere, already probably burning something in the process unless they shut their engines off and floated down. The aliens hop off their ship and thinking that its safe, discover that instead some humans saw them and are now freaking out. Now imagine that these aliens, instead of being little green men from Mars are anthropomorphic dragon-like creatures no larger than 6 or 7 feet tall, have powerful wings on their backs, short muzzles, friendly eyes, and a large cranium for a mighty brain... wouldn't these creatures look like -baby- dragons? Perhaps demons?

The Bible talks about dragons in the Book of Job.

Immanuel Velikovsky thinks the idea of dragons came from the planet Venus. He thinks it was a comet which came into orbit and for many years the tail of the comet looked like the beard of a dragon, which is why, in Chinese mythology, they fly and have beards. Velikovsky, not met.

Well, think about it yourself. I mean, if they really were aliens, and HAD come to Earth, wouldn't they have been recorded history? I mean, something in actual records(at least in some way), and not just in fairy tales and fiction. Bu tthere is the chance that your "Demon" theory might be true. If they did truely land, and people saw them, then that might mean that the so called Demons in different religous books (no offence intended to anyone reading this) might have been them, and since people at that time could not understand the fact that other intelligent beings existed, or even the fact that Space existed (since they didn't know it was round), so they were told that they were demons, so thus keeping them calm (in some way).
Now for your "space-ship monsters" landing and floating, and people seeing them, wouldn't a dragon like monster seem inapropriate for space travel. I mean if it's going to go through the atmosphere of any planet, it must be in a more aerodynamic form, where the "dragon" shape wouldn't be, the legs, neck, even the wings would slow it down and stop it from going into space. But your theory has some value, because recently scientists from NASA have been experimenting with some bird-like crafts with a 1-peice body, to look for and check the planet. So it might have been the "aliens" looking for us, using one of the same things.

I think that statement may have some validity. I believe in the ancient Astronaut theory that aliens came to earth thousands of years ago, created man by mixing their DNA with that of an ape woman and created man as a salve race to work for them.
These aliens were worshiped as gods, and I believe they were the annuanki described in the ancient Sumerian tablets.

Many scholars have said that they can trace most religions and mythologies back to origin from these tablets, which are the most ancient writings we have.

They had spaceships so they could fly. Over the years of people orally retelling these stories and passing them on before being written down again by other cultures this god changed to be known as the serpent god or the winged serpent god. The serpent and the winged serpent have been worshiped in ancient religions all over the world. Later he became synonymous with a dragon which in many cultures is still depicted as a winged serpent.

In my opinion id have to say no to the alien part. but i think you were on to something with the dinosaur part. isnt it odd that every culture in the world has some for of dragons or something extremely similar? in a far out possibility maybe the last dinosaurs were seens as the dragons or dragon like creatures in different parts of the world. since this would have happened so long ago, it would be almost impossible to tell if it was really the last dinosaurs, or just something to help keep population in line, or even the story of a farmer who ate some bad mold.

It's barely possible. If so, they would be small-brained, as all the more noble creatures of Earth are. Strange that the knowledge mammals have is so deeply treasured, but somehow turns out to be the source of all misery in the end. But if they're here on Earth, it's more likely that they're smarter. Evolution can do some scary things, and if they're evolved from dinosaurs, their brains are larger. They'd have to be either impossibly docile, or absolutely sadistic, though.
