It's uncomfortable if you don't insert it properly. Tampons are not recommended for girls under 16 because they can cause an illness called toxic shock if there's not used right.

No, it doesn't. Just relax and follow the directions. You are in control, so even if it does start to hurt, you stop. Use the smallest size with a plastic or curved applicator. And yes, you can use a tampon even if you're a virgin. It won't change a thing.

No, it doesn't, as long as it is inserted correctly. Follow the directions on the box or ask an experienced adult to give you some helpful hints. Tampons will soon become your very best friend during that time of the month.

It might, the same way it might hurt to have sex for the first time.
My advice - start with the smallest, narrowest tampon you can find. (Tampax Satin Teen is a little bit wider than a pencil.)
Good luck!!

yes if your a virgin..and if you don't get it in properly it will keep trying to get out!!!so when its's in...put your finger in ..maybe 1/2" further...to make sure the Tampon is in enough...then it shouldn't hurt
also look gentle glide and slims..
ps also wear a mini pad at least...to rescue any leaks!!!

It only hurts if you put it in wrong. It takes some practice to get it right

No, however if you don't push it in far enough it will feel like its falling out and will be very uncomfortable. I also find plastic applicators alot more smoother for inserting and easier to push in far enough.

if you don't put it in exactly right it can hurt, and if you try to pull it out before it's full it can, but it's not like losing your virginity by any means.

Not if it is put in place the right way. If it is used correctly you can't even feel it.
