Gas dyers burn fuel and make CO and CO2 so no you should not vent them in.
Electric dryers do not have this problem. However you will get some lint and you are putting the moisture back into the room that the dryer is pulling air from to dry. I have had windows sweating because I put too much moisture into the air!
I have a vent flap in the vent line of my electric dryer. When I first start it in the winter I will make sure it vents out to get most of the moisture outside. If I am around near the end of the cycle, I flip it to vent in capturing some of the heat. I put piece of an old nylon over the outlet to catch the lint.

For electric dryers, you can buy a product I found at Menard's (Lowes should have it also). At the end of your vent tube, you put this plastic box you have purchased at Menards or Lowe that is made to do this, and fill it with water. It collects all the lint for you. I have used it for years, but if you live in a rental property, it may not pass inspection. Good Luck.

Yes but must clean behind it at LEAST once a week.
This ONLY works for electric dryers.
Also if you place old knee high stocking over vent in back
you wont get all that lent in house

Your biggest problem is not lint (which can be trapped by bubbling the vented air through water), it is heat and moisture.
I wouldn't blast my home with this much heat and water unless I had absolutely no alternative. You are begging for mold!

yes. go to home depot and they have a kit for the dryer it is about 12 dollars. it is a bucket that you fill with water and the dryer hose hooks to it. you just have to make sure you keep water in it.

Gas dryer is a "NO NO" ! (carbon monoxide will kill you, less than 1% in the air is leathal, it's odor less and colorless, so you won't even know that it is around you) DANGEROUS !!!!!!!!!
Electric is OK but LINTY !
Keep the trap clean to prevent "Dryer fires"
