Whether or not they use that log is another issue.

YES! Its Automatic and called a system connection Log and is recorded by ALL Internet providers and is shared with both UK and USA security forces and police forces including Interpol.

This is recorded in the same way as all the telephone numbers you dial and can be used for the same purposes by legally authorised agencies. If such logging wasn't around I WOULD feel worried as it makes people think twice before doing something too atrocious!

they know everything - they are the all seeing eye. I wouldn't worry about being caught over any naughtyness though, they have to erase their logs on a regular basis due to limited storage capacity, they would only keep your records if they suspect you for something, or the police have tipped them off.

yes, they actually stay sored in a "virtual warehouse" allowing easier access to them next time. They are usually erased wuite frequently, weekly or maybe even daily.
