My guy best friend just got dumped a week ago. He came over to my house for the first time. My mom went to church. We were alone. He kissed me...ALOT! What was that about?

You need to discuss it with your friend. It could be he was just lonely & confused. If you have not talked to him about it, how would you know?
If it is something more, I would still be careful if I were you since he could just be on the rebound. Plus you could risk losing a friend if you try to make it more & it does not work out.

Guys and girls cannot be "true" friends because of the sexual tension between them. at some point the guy or girl will want to see if there is more to the friendship.
or he just wated to make out and you were convenient.

i think he was so bummed about being dumped that he wanted to be with someone. my best friend got dumped before and straight away he asked me out. i said no and told him that he was just confused and he didn't really like me. now everythings back to normal.

Maybe when he got dumped he felt lonely. And you were the closest thing to him so he felt that you guys could take it further?
