I take the birth control pill dianette. It is also often prescribed primarily as a treatment for acne as well as a method of contraception.

Anyhow... to anyone who also takes dianette... how long does it take from when you finish a packet of dianette (i.e. for your monthly bleed) to when yoyu start to bleed? I take about four to five days after my last pill! As well as freaking me out about being pregnant every month, is this abnormal? Do any of you find the same? How many days does it take for you?

Also, have you found anything else since starting to take dianette?

Please help, I'm freaking out!

I take dianette, I take my last pill on a Friday and get my period on the Tuesday, so that's 4 days later. I was on microgynon before, and I was the same on it. Women are just different, some start bleeding as soon as they stop taking the pills, others take a few days. As long as you take the dianette at roughly the same time every day then the chances of you getting pregnant are REALLY slim, so try not to worry about it. If you know it usually takes 4-5 days before your period starts, don't worry about it unless you get to 6 or 7 days and you haven't bled. Honestly, it's quite normal and nothing to worry about.
