It depends. My experience is that it is always a little bigger. Often times when women deliver vaginally, the vagina can rip open, sometimes all the way to the anus. If this happens, the doctors will stitch the torn part shut and allow it to heal over time.

The doctor say's it does but there is something different about it whether it's pyscological or factual I don't know for sure but if your worried about it my best advice is to not let your man go in the delivery room with you. He should stay in the waiting room.

hahah!

this is funny, it makes me think about Jenny McCarthy's books "baby laughs" and "belly laughs". she talks about "blowing out your vagina" during birth and her husband's thought that afterwards it was going to be like "throwing a hot dog down a hallway"!!!!

i don't know the answer to this myself, but i just wanted to throw a little humor out there:)

check out her books, too. they are the funny side of pregnancy and that first year with baby!
plus, it was nice to know that a sex symbol like Jenny McCarthy even went over 200 pounds when pregnant!

take care.

I have heard that it doesnt go back the way it was. With all that stretching (and sometimes tearing) it may stay stretched out. I have seen plastic surgeons being able to fix it though.

it depends, but there are procedures to actually "restore" the vagina. Ask your doctor.
