I want to generate business in the Republic of Ireland and this would be easier if i could create a "presence" there.

I expect you can get a phone number for any country. You will just need to have the bill registered to your London address. Any directory enquiries will give you contact numbers for phone services in R O I.

You probably would have to go there and subscribe for a local cell phone.

Then you could use it from London or anywhere. Long distance charges will apply.

Presence would have to be done by advertising with that number.
I do not know if there is a "800" toll free number available for Cell Phones. I would think so. It then would be toll free for customers.

You can get a local "In country DDI Number" from any carrier in the uk for Ireland, in fact you can have it for any country. You could also go direct to Eircom.ie or have you considered a call answering provider in Ireland from a serviced office provide

U Need to go Via an Irish Phone Company(like BT) and have it set to forward back to Uk.

names of Irish companys evade me at the moment tho!

EIRCOM is the only one i can remember (Biggest!)

Vonage can do this for you. You can set up "virtual numbers" - it does not matter where you are - you can live in the USA and have a UK number.
