nah, not at all. Some of his views at very unpopular, and he's got a bad case of short-man syndrome, but he was one of the most innovative, and influential drummers in the 80's thrash metal scene. Listen to the album And Justice For All....and tell me that's not some bad a$$ drumming?
i would agree if you said his last 2-3 albums were pretty overrated though.

Lars Overrated, JOey From slipknot, Underated, P!NK's drummer, incredibly underrated.

I don't think he's the most overrated, because most people don't find him to be that good anyway. He's just in a very popular band.
